This letter constitutes H.H.Pope Shenouda’s instructions to the Church in Australia.
H.H. Pope Shenouda emphasises the importance of our Church in Sydenham being our Coptic identity and heritage, being the place that birthed us Copts in Australia and being the first Coptic Church in Australia, granted to us and blessed by our Mother, the Holy St Mary, Mother of God.
H.H. Pope Shenouda stresses that in our busyness with the move to the new Church in Bexley and busyness and congestion in our own lives, that we not forget our origin, our heritage and our birthplace, being St Mary’s Coptic Church in Sydenham.
H.H. Pope Shenouda adored our first Church in Australia and urged his children to hold fast to our heritage and identity. He made a point to come to Australia, to pray at St Mary’s in Sydenham.
Pray for us and our Church Pope Shenouda.
